ITBP

  Indo-Tibetan Border Police is the primary force guarding the India-China border.

Role

• They have to guard the border against any external incursion
• Assist the army during war time
• Maintain border infrastructure
• Maintain good relationship with people in the border
• Allow genuine economic transit
• Check illegal migration, drug and human trafficking
• Surveillance
• Suggesting counter measures needed
• Act as a force multiplier 

 ITBP should be kept in good shape through prompt recruitment, proper training and adequate equipment

 Hence ITBP plays a multi-faceted role that includes surveillance, maintenance and countering any adverse action along India - China border.
